Did you know that within 5 miles of our church, there are hundreds of needy people who need help?  Expand that distance to 25 miles and the number of needy people grows exponentially.

Jesus tells us to help others close to us as well as in other countries.  By helping others, we are preaching a sermon without words.  By sharing our time and taking care of someone's needs without asking for anything in return, we are sharing the true definition of love.

We commonly refer to these acts of service as missions.  Basically, sharing the love of Christ by doing for others.  It might be mowing a lawn or feeding the hungry.  It could be painting or giving someone a coat.  When we help out those in our community, it gives us an opportunity to also tell those we are helping about Jesus.

Not everyone we help is lost, those we help who have a relationship with Jesus are encouraged by seeing our faith in action.  Regardless of the spiritual condition of those we help, we are connecting and shoring the love of God in a practical way.  This opens the door to encourage and share the hope we have in Jesus to those we are loving on.

Do you want to help us fill the needs of those in our area and love on those who are hurting?  Contact us and Get plugged in to missions..

What I do

My Job
My job is to help people in need in Bryan County and the surrounding areas with food, clothing, and other items they may need. All the items in Eleos are donated so another part of my job is to collect these items.  I also get to let people in the church and community know the needs of Eleos.

About Me

My Background
I have been married to Tom for a long time. We have two wonderful adult sons; Thomas and James. I was born in Portland, Maine but grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom and I moved to Georgia in 1986 just after we were married.

Why I Follow Christ
My parents are both Christians and they taught me about Jesus. I choose to follow Him because He loves me and forgives me. Christ gives me hope and the example to love others.

Ask me about
I would love to answer any questions you have about the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. You can ask me what items we accept and what items we don't accept.  Also, please ask me what you can do  to help. And, ask what we can do to help you.

Eleos Food Bank and Clothes Closet shows the love of Jesus Christ to the community and surrounding areas by providing free canned goods and other food items, clothing, medical equipment, and support to those who are in need.  We strive to create a caring atmosphere in which every individual is treated with dignity, concern and love. It is our hope and prayer that those who recieve food and clothing will be strengthened in body and soul.  If you need help, just walk in or Volunteer to help the needy!

Eleos is open during the following hours:

Monday 10:00AM to 1:00PM
Wednesday 5:00PM to 8:00PM
Friday 11:00AM to 2:00PM

Jeremiah 22:16 He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me? declares the Lord.

On the last Sunday of the month bring canned goods and leave them on the bumper of your vehicle.  During the service the Mission IS Possible team will pick them up!

The focus of Dirty Hands is to involve students in church and community service projects and to equip them with Gods love and His word so that they will be prepared to share and show His love to others through actions and words.

Each month DirtyHands participates in a different mission. Whether it is going into downtown Savannah to feed the homeless, going to play bingo with the residents at the local nursing home, or serving through our children’s department. This is in addition to Bumper Sunday which takes place on the last Sunday of each month. All food collected by our youth is donated to Eleos Food Bank and Clothes Closet  and is then distributed to families in need throughout our community.  Volunteer to help the needy!

What I do

About Me

My background
I have a wonderful husband, Robbie and 3 beautiful daughters adopted from China. We have chosen adoption for our family because God first adopted us into his family. We want to share love with children who are in need of a family. My passion is to save every orphan in the world! I can't do it alone. Please join me in making a difference in a child's life ONE step at a time.

Why I Follow Christ
God doesn't demand that we be perfect to be a part of His family. He chooses us with our issues and our imperfections and takes us in with love and compassion.

Ask me about
Anything about adoption.....
How to adopt, how to support those who are adopting, how to get involved with Gabriel House children's shelter, or anything else that's a part of ONE Ministry!

Something as easy as walking would never seem overwhelming to you, but it takes a child 1,000 hours to learn to walk.

Have you done anything lately that takes 1,000 hours to learn to do?  As a child, you had to start somewhere.  Your parents held your hand, assisted you and guided you as you took one step at a time.  Now you walk each day as a regular part of your life.

Helping 147 million orphans in the world seems like an overwhelming task, but it is not.  The mission of ONE Ministry is to help each of you learn to care for orphans everyday as a regular part of your life.  Think of us as your parent, guiding you and encouraging you to care for at least ONE orphan.

Whether you are adopting, a foster parent,  or supporting families who are, ONE Ministry can guide you through the process.

ONE Ministry exists to empower believers to help orphans and vulnerable children locally and globally, with a focus on helping children find families. On the local level: volunteering to serve children recently removed from their home (foster care), assisting with training for people thinking about adoption, giving financially to support someone who is adopting.  On the global level:  mission trips, sponsoring a child overseas.

Even if you can’t adopt, you can help someone who is adopting.  Volunteer with ONE.
ONE - Orphans Need Everyone

We understand that there are some extremely difficult and scary times in life. An unplanned pregnancy is one of them and can be a stressful time. Your baby is a precious blessing created by God Himself. No one deserve to go through all this alone! We want you to know that we are here for you and your baby. We desire to build a relationship with you, support you and be there for you and your new baby. We would also like to show you some great resources that will help you and your baby as you begin this new chapter of your lives together.
Perhaps you are struggling with post-abortion pain, guilt or grief. Please know that you are not alone and that there is forgiveness and healing at the feet of Jesus. We want to show you the unconditional love Jesus shows for everyone. In addition, there are other resources available to help you while you heal.
The Pregnancy Care Center of Richmond Hill is a Christian nonprofit organization which we support that exists to uphold the dignity of all human life and to empower men and women to make life affirming decisions. We believe in the value of caring for women who face untimely pregnancy through counseling, education, and support services, with the assistance of individuals and churches within the community.

Volunteering is fun and rewarding as well as a way to give back to God what is His.

Let's get together!
