The Way Ministry is about showing students what it means to follow Jesus even in the challenging teenage years.  Our goal is to teach students that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and that through surrender to Him on a daily basis we can experience life to the fullest!

My hope is that students would join me as I travel the road of faith as we draw near to Jesus.  We offer opportunities to grow in our faith through Life Groups, Direction Groups on Wednesday nights, the One Conference weekend, and summer youth events.
We are The Way Student Ministry because the earliest followers of Jesus were called people of The Way. Our goal is to chase after Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father. We will teach the Gospel, we will fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40). We want to be different! We want to be Jesus to our schools, communities, and families.

We want you to join us by volunteering or joining with us in worship.  God is moving in a mighty way, don’t miss it!  And read more about The Way ministries below!

One Conference is a local discipleship and evangelism retreat for students in grades 6-12. The students spend an entire weekend with their friends worshipping Jesus, serving in the community, and digging deep into God’s Word.

On Feb 5-7, 2016, we hosted guest speaker, Austin Adamec.

Small group Bible study is the key to the weekend.  The small group time allows student to connect one-on-one with each other while growing in their faith.  Small groups are led by qualified and called leaders.

Each year the One Conference grows and grows, more churches join us, and we keep trusting God to use it to change student’s lives.

"Adolescence is a period of rapid changes. Between the ages of 12 and 18, for example, a parent ages as much as 20 years."

Being the parent of a teenager is a special task. If you have one you completely understand the challenges and the blessings that come from raising a teen in our crazy mixed up world. Part of our hope at First Baptist is to help parents and to serve along side parents as they raise their teens to be like Jesus.

The Way has a Policies and Procedures document for you to review.  Download it here.

Here are a few links that you might find helpful as you go:

360 Family exists to encourage and equip parents in understanding the world of their teens/tweens and how to walk with their teen into the culture in living a life that is honoring of themselves, those around them, and their faith.

The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers.

Focus on the Family is a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive. We provide help and resources for couples to build healthy marriages that reflect God’s design, and for parents to raise their children according to morals and values grounded in biblical principles.

The youth will have several activities planned for the summer, which includes trips to Tybee Island and Six Flags in Atlanta. Be sure to connect through Facebook for updates and times at "The Way - FBCRH- Youth".

Here at The Way Student Ministries we believe that Wednesday night youth services is a time to worship, fellowship, and dig deep into the Word of God.
After our student led worship service join us for our small group discussion groups called Direction Groups.  Direction Groups are small groups broken down by age where we look at personal application of the message taught during worship.
Our hope is that Jesus would be lifted high and that you would feel encouraged and challenged to grow in your faith and be changed by the power of God’s truth!
Join us at 6:30pm in the youth worship center and be prepared to have an encounter with Jesus!
