We get together every Sunday to celebrate our faith in Christ. At our worship services, we sing, pray, greet each other, hear a challenging Bible based message, give to support the church and respond to the message. You don't need to have it all together to come to our services and you don't have to dress up.

Whether you have believed in Christ from a young age, don't even believe in God, or anything in between, we want you to come check out our services because we want to meet you. Really, that's all there is to it! We have multiple worship services during the week:

  • 9AM and 11:15AM Worship Services - These services are attended by people of all ages and is a come as you are service. Childcare is available.  Volunteer to serve.
  • Children's Church - We have Children’s Church available to 1st-3rd graders during both of our morning worship services (9:00am and 11:15am).  Here’s how it works!  Kids sit with their parents during the music/video segment of the worship service.  Toward the last song 1st-3rd graders (1 year - Kindergarten may be taken to Children's Church before the service) will be invited to leave the Worship Center with our Children’s Church leaders.  From there, they will go to where they have an interactive lesson using the Worship KidStyle curriculum.  They also have playtime in the gym, because let’s face it – some of our bodies are not built for sitting still for long periods of time! Children who are not picked up after the 9:00am Worship Service Children’s Church will be walked to their Sunday School class.  Children that are attending the 11:15am Worship Service Children’s Church can be picked up from the gym following the worship service.  Volunteer to serve in the Children's ministry.
  • Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm - We have several bible studies available on Wednesday nights. We have a Wednesday Night Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall every Wednesday night. We have a women's bible study by Angie Smith called "Seamless" that is led by Robin Speer. Childcare is available for babies through 5th grade. The Way Student Ministries will have Wednesday night youth services for 6th grade through 12th grade. Also AWANA is available for 3 years old through 6th grade for kids as they learn the Bible, play games, get to know other kids and have a great time.

Meet Billy

What I do

My Job
My job is to ensure that guests are greeted, welcomed, and connected to our church family. After greeting our guests and calling them by name, we provide them with a pamphlet filled with opportunities to connect to our Church. I make myself available to answer any questions regarding our church. We always invite our guest to attend one of our two services, Sunday School and attempt a connection with one of the Life Groups. We also provide a map of the Church and escort the guest to the desired service.

About Me

My background
My wife Cheryl and I have lived in Richmond Hill almost all of our married life and chose this community because of its family centered values. We are blessed with two girls; Katelyn and Bailea who remind us daily of how good God is to us.  You can find us during the weekday working at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital and on the weekend with our hands in the soil.

Why I Follow Christ
Although I have always know our Lord and Savior, it wasn’t until I met my wife that I truly became a Christian.  What began as a simple prayer to make me a better man, has become a way of life for me and my family. While I am far from perfect, I serve a Lord that is just and willing to forgive. He has blessed me with far more than I deserve and paid the ultimate sacrifice for my sins.  How could I not put all of my faith our Lord?

Ask me about
I believe that the mission for the First Touch Ministry is to demonstrate Christ’s love by opening our doors and welcoming all who come wanting to know more about Him.  Please ask me how you can get connected to God through our Church and how you too could serve through our First Touch Ministry.

Hi, I'm Billy, my team amd I want to welcome you to First Baptist Richmond Hill...literally.  My team of volunteers and I are the ones who greet you, give you bulletins, answer your questions and help our special guests find their way around.  Come on in and get to know us....I can't wait to get to know you.  If you like people and helping people or talking to people, First touch is a great way to serve. Volunteer for First Touch, I'd love to connect with you!.  See you soon!

Hi! We are a group of singers that help lead our 9AM worship service, in congregational singing. We sing a mix of the classical hymns and worship songs. We practice at 6:30PM on Wednesday nights in the choir room located on the second floor above the main sanctuary and we also have a quick practice at 8:30AM on Sunday morning. Practices are open to anyone of any age.  Just show up and sing with us. Worshipping together in the choir is an incredible way to teach service to others while encouraging growth in our talents.

Have more questions or want to join the choir? Call the church office and we will connect with you.

Hi!  We are a group of singers and musicians that leads our 11:15 AM service, in worship each Sunday. We take a contemporary approach without compromising the truth of our clear calling, to worship Jesus Christ.

Our Worship Team is comprised of musicians and vocalists of all ages and skilled abilities. We hold auditions to consider new team members. If you feel called to serve the Lord through music and lead in worshipping the Lord through song,  fill out our Volunteer Connect form  and the Worship Leader will contact you to schedule an audition or get you connected with the team leader for non-musician volunteers.

Volunteering is fun and rewarding as well as a way to give back to God what is His.

Let's get together!
