What I do

My Job
My job is to help people in need in Bryan County and the surrounding areas with food, clothing, and other items they may need. All the items in Eleos are donated so another part of my job is to collect these items.  I also get to let people in the church and community know the needs of Eleos.

About Me

My Background
I have been married to Tom for a long time. We have two wonderful adult sons; Thomas and James. I was born in Portland, Maine but grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom and I moved to Georgia in 1986 just after we were married.

Why I Follow Christ
My parents are both Christians and they taught me about Jesus. I choose to follow Him because He loves me and forgives me. Christ gives me hope and the example to love others.

Ask me about
I would love to answer any questions you have about the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. You can ask me what items we accept and what items we don't accept.  Also, please ask me what you can do  to help. And, ask what we can do to help you.

Got extra stuff, clothes the kids have outgrown or you just don't wear anymore? Or maybe you want to buy some extra canned goods for someone who needs them?  No matter what you have you have exactly what someone living in our community needs.

As a result of the current socioeconomic landscape, there is an increased need for Mercy Ministries in our area. In any given month we serve over 200 people through our Eleos Food Closet and other ministries.  We help people with furniture, clothes, food, medical supplies (non-medicinal), gas cards, diapers, baby formula and hygiene supplies.

For some folks in our community, Jesus is a can of soup or a pair of shoes. Your donations build relationships and trust, and you are making it possible to share the Gospel with those in need. Please be the hands and feet of Jesus to area families by donating the stuff needed to change lives and open the door to sharing the Good News of Jesus with our community.

Donation Drop Off

Tax deductable donations can be dropped of at the church office Monday - Thursday, 8am to 6pm.  Items can also be dropped of at Eleos during operating hours.
