At First Baptist Church Richmond Hill, we are a family and so we like to get together and do things with our family.  This is what we call living in community; basically hanging out and enjoying life together.  We gather together at church on Sunday morning but there is so much more to living in community.  So check out some questions often asked about community.

What are some of your community events?
Hanging out with small groups are great ways to connect, grow friendships and become part of a community, we call these small groups Life Groups.  Life Groups meet throughout the week in people's houses and Sunday at the church.  There are also a number of activities for our ladies, senior adults, military and students to hang out together.  Another way we hang out together is through serving together.  Our volunteers become like family and they provide essential services to our church and our local community.

What if I'm not fitting in with a certain group?
We have so many Life Groups and other ministry groups that you will find one or more that you fit in perfectly with.  You don't have to sign a commitment to hang out so feel free to check out different groups, the most important thing is getting connected.

I would really rather remain anonymous, what do you think about that?
We understand that it's not always easy to connect with a bunch of strangers.  Maybe you've been hurt before or something else.  We want you to know that living in community at First Baptist Richmond Hill comes with no judgment.  Disciples of Christ are compelled by Him to be purposefully involved in community with one another. This means living together in an intentional, relational, community that seeks the well-being of one another, physical, spiritual, material, and emotional (Acts 2:42; Philippians 2:3,4).

Any way I can get more information?
There is a place for everyone at First Baptist Church Richmond Hill, regardless of which stage you're at in life. Numerous opportunities exist each week to connect and fellowship with others who are at similar stages in life. contact us with specific questions and we'll help you get connected.

Volunteering is fun and rewarding as well as a way to give back to God what is His.

Let's get together!
