Kids Ministry
Infant – 5th Grade
FBC Kids covers a lot of ground! From Sunday Groups to FBC Kids Worship to AWANA to Camp to Vacation Bible School to lots more…we want to help kids connect with God.
On Sunday mornings, we offer Kids Worship at 9:00 and Kids Sunday Groups at 10:30. During the school year, FBC Kids offers AWANA on Wednesdays at 6:30.
Our leaders use interactive lessons & activities to reach children where they are emotionally, developmentally, and of course spiritually. Our goal is not to be the ultimate spiritual authority in a child’s life, but to partner with and equip a kid’s best spiritual asset – their family.
Safety and security are vitally important to us. All of our volunteers are background checked and trained in our Policies and Procedures. Families can quickly and easily check in on Sundays where a custom security tag will be printed for their child.
For a super-easy way to keep up with week-to-week information for your kids, just like our FBC Kids Facebook page or follow us on our FBC Kids Instagram. You can also contact Gina Vogel, FBC Kids Director, with any questions you may have!

Parent & Child Dedication
What is a Parent & Child Dedication?
WE WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO GROW AND DEVELOP THEIR OWN AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.
Child Dedication service is a special time for families to publicly covenant with their church family to raise their children to love The Lord. It’s a simple yet very special occasion not to be confused with baptism, which takes place after a person has received Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Parents, commit to doing all that you can to set your children up to win in this area!
God made 2 institutions – The Family and The Church, both to bring Him Glory. The church is very important to help shine the light of God so kids can see Jesus, but we recognize no one will have more influence over your child than YOU do. And the most powerful thing you can do to help your kids have an authentic relationship with Jesus one day is for your children to see a real relationship with Jesus through your life.
It’s easier for kids to see God as a loving parent when they live in a home with a loving parent. God is a big, big God and He can redeem even the worst situation – but it makes it easier for them to make those connections when they see a living example.
Some Important Information to Note
Not perfection or “church answers”
- Real-life flesh and blood struggles with stuff that’s hard, because stuff is hard. But we fundamentally believe that God is good even when stuff is hard.
- No great examples of overwhelmingly godly parents in scripture, but the Bible is full of stories where people blew it but those people kept running back to God and God was merciful.
“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, because he can’t deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13
- Pray for your children and pray with them.
- Read the Bible to them.
- Talk about God and acknowledge Him in front of them.
- Listen to Christ-based music.
- Bring them to church and let them make connections with other believers who will pour love and bibical truth into them.
- Model what forgiveness looks like. When you blow it, apologize and ask for forgiveness. And when your child blows it have them to do the same, because they will. We all do!
What Does Salvation Look Like in a Child?
- He / She may start asking questions first about baptism.
- If your child has received Christ at a young age, they are still learning about what that all means.
- Their relationship with Christ will change as they grow (Parents your teens are very different than when they were preschoolers. I’m still mom and still in their life, but how we relate is different.)
PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN! IT’S THE MOST POWERFUL THING YOU CAN DO!
Some Verses about Child Dedication
Isaiah 44:24 (NIV) This is what the LORD says — your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself.
Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV) Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV) For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
3 John 1:4 (NIV) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
