fbcKIDS VBS 2021 is headed to present-day Israel where discovery awaits at Destination Dig. Kids will unearth more than dirt as they dig up exciting evidence that proves biblical events were not just stories. As junior archaeologists, kids will explore real-life archaeological finds that have helped to uncover the truth about Jesus! Along the way, they’ll discover the truth of Jeremiah 29:13, that God reveals Himself to us when we seek and search for Him with all our hearts.

If VBS has been a great experience for you as a child or adult (or both!), you are probably smiling. Some may think of VBS as “old school”. But over 120 years strong! Remarkable! Having something this long history means VBS is stable! 60% of all Americans adults attended VBS. I am wondering if 60% of them even attended Kindergarten. Also, 90% of them enjoyed and 80% of them said it was their childhood highlight.
The purpose of VBS is to minister children in the church and to create outreach to the surrounding communities, and to create evangelism opportunities. This purpose is supported by a creative theme of Bible study, activities, worship, and even time for some tasty snacks. It is not uncommon for a leader to volunteer to help for “just one week of VBS,” and feel God’s tug on his or her heart to work with kids permanently.
VBS is an intentional evangelistic opportunity.
The biblical content built into the curriculum lays foundational truths that help kids understand who Jesus is and why they need a personal Savior. The relationships you develop with kids and their families can provide many opportunities to not only show the love of Jesus, but to share the truth of the gospel.
So, Are you ready for VBS to build God’s kingdom? Are you ready to share the gospel with families and kids this summer? FBC Kids ministry is all about equipping our parents and families to reach children with the gospel.
We provide the VBS training for all hands volunteers for safety and security reasons.
Satan doesn’t want you to give attention to anything of kingdom value, even the tiniest details. So don’t allow him a stronghold, even over the little details. God cares about the details. Please join us in the greatest mission during the VBS!
